Remember When we Went Back to the Future?

“Marty McFly: Where are we? When are we?

Doc: We’re descending toward Hill Valley, California, at 4:29 pm, on Wednesday, October 21st, 2015.

Marty McFly: 2015? You mean we’re in the future?”

Nearly thirty years ago in the year 1985 (Note that the sequels came out in 1989), Back To the Future released to rave reviews and soon went on to become a pop culture phenomenon. The time traveling Sci-Fi Comedy was later followed up by a second part. In the second movie the time traveling duo Marty Mcfly (Michael J. Fox) and Doc Brown (Christopher Llyod) once again travel through time in their Delorean to the year 2015. Sound familiar? The precise day they arrive is the 21st of this month. Not all of the prophesized inventions came true. We’re still waiting for dehydrated pizza and hover boards, but who would have imagined the proliferation of cell phones and the computer? To celebrate this once in forever holiday, Harkins Theaters is bringing Back To the Future: Part 2 Back to theaters for one night: Oct. 21st at 7 p.m. Rumors are that in time for the not-anniversary, a variety of goodies will be released by the studios. Documentary films, new clips, or a new movie (we can only hope). Regardless, the day the future from the past becomes the present is fast approaching!
