How to Get Good Grades and Why They Are Important

By Kat Polk

Most teenagers realize that grades are incredibly important. Without good grades, it can be difficult to get into a good college. It can then be hard to find a good job without going to a good college. This means that your grades have an enormous impact on your future.

It takes a lot of hard work and effort in order to get good grades. It can be difficult and stressful. Some students do not realize just how much their grades affect their future. It is important to put time and effort into your grades, while maintaining good mental health.

Some students work incredibly hard for their good grades, and they succeed. The only issue with this is that their mental health suffers. They work too hard and focus on their studies too much, which causes them to forget about their mental health. These are the overworked students.

Other students have great mental health, but they don’t pay attention to their grades. They are too busy handing out with friends and going on social media, when they should be studying or doing homework. These are the underachievers.

It is vitally important to find a health balance. The students who have found this healthy balance are called efficient workers. With time, you can become an efficient worker.

One of the easiest changes that you can make to improve your grades is to not procrastinate. Many students get home and spend hours doing things besides their homework or studying. This causes the overworked students to stay up extra late to finish their homework. They get the assignments done, but they sacrifice their health. The underachievers might not even do their assignment, sacrificing their grades. An efficient worker would start on their homework a few minutes after they get home. This way they have time to come home and get comfortable, before beginning their assignments.

Another way to improve your grades is to find an efficient way to study. Each person has a different way of studying that works best for them. Some students can skim over the textbook and understand it, others have to take notes. Experiment with different study methods to find what works best for you.

There are many useful study tools that are used by students. One of these tools is Quizlet. Quizlet is an online website that is free to use. You can create your own flashcards or use some that are already made. Using flashcards that have already been made saves time. This gives you more time to study instead of creating flashcards.

Another helpful study tool is Flora. Flora is an app which is free on the app store. It motivates you to stay off your phone while you are studying. Simply set a timer for as long as you want to stay off your phone and a virtual tree will start growing. If you try to do anything on your phone, the tree will die. These study tools can be a game changer when it comes to getting good grades. (Editor’s note: This article is not sponsored by either of these services–though if they wanna hit us up, I’m free.)

In conclusion, find a healthy balance between work and rest. Experiment with study methods and tools. You are well on your way to becoming and efficient worker!
